RocheFort maroquinierAt the leather working ECONOMUSEUM, you will be introduced to leather working on the very site of the old village shoemaker’s shop in a century-old building. In the workshop, watch the artisan’s skilled hands cutting out the skins, fitting them together, and then working and fashioning them into beautiful objects. Breath in the familiar rich smell of tannin. At the same time, learn about the difference between fine leathers and synthetic products. Guided by his fertile imagination, the leather worker combines both old and new techniques and can custom-design and craft purses, briefcases, wallets and belts that will delight you.
