La Forge à Pique-Assaut

For twenty-five years, in Saint-Laurent on Île d’Orléans, visitors to the blacksmith shop have been fascinated by the fire in the forge and the sound of the hammer striking the anvil, again and again. In the workshop, the artisan-blacksmiths are busy at work. Their precise, perfectly synchronized movements borrow from both traditional and modern techniques to create one-of-a-kind pieces such as tables, candelabras, shelves, decorative grillwork, to name but a few. Your visit will give you an opportunity to admire the authentic pieces forged by our ancestors. And you will be impressed – indeed, dazzled – by the boutique with its original objects, which speak so highly of the blacksmith’s work.
