Advisory Committee
Set up by the ÉCONOMUSÉE® Society Network, its role is to assist management in making judicious decisions regarding services to be provided to the network. The committee also maintains good relationships between Quebec members and the IENS. Three members of this committee sit on the Board of Directors.
The mandate of the Advisory Committee is to listen to the members, to set up lines of communication with them, to make recommendations to management and to receive and handle all requests from the network members.
The Advisory Committee is made up of seven members: five regional representatives of ECONOMUSEUM®, elected for a two-year term by the members at the symposium of the Société internationale; the President and the Director.
The committee meets at least three times a year or as required.
The Admissions Committee
This committee decides on the admission of new members to the network.
Regarding admission, the committee plans the setting up of ECONOMUSEUM® according to a strategy that it develops regarding the number of businesses, the regions and the themes. It decides on the admissions criteria and on the selection of candidates. Committee members study the applications sent by management and decides whether or not to recommend feasibility studies. Once these studies are completed, the committee analyses them, makes recommendations as required and approves requests for accreditation.
The Admissions Committee is made up of six members including four people elected for a two-year term:
- Mrs. Paule D. Houle, Board of Directors of the ESN
- Mr. Cyril Simard, Chairman of the Board
- Mr. François Tremblay, administrator
- Two representatives of the artisans
- A representative from Canada Economic Development for the Quebec region acting as an observing party
The committee meets upon request by management.
